“If you give a little love, you can get a little love of your own.”

      
          The lyrics of the song Give a Little Love by Noah and the Whale, accompanied by the video posted by TheCorpfa, shares a message that touches the deepest parts of one’s heart. The video focuses on a young boy that chose to make a difference, to emanate kindness and make the world a better place. In the video, it values how a simple act of kindness can inspire others to show compassion to others as well. As we experience an act of kindness from someone, or even see someone experience kindness from a distance, it ignites a fire in our hearts. It gives us the sense of wanting to give back to others for the kindness we witnessed or received.         

          Imagine an endless line of standing dominos. When a single domino is touched even just slightly, it falls forward to hit the next domino in front and the next domino after that and the next domino after that and so on, endlessly.  Now, imagine that small touch to the first domino to be an act of kindness, as the domino is touched it falls forward, touching the next domino, and that domino touching the next domino and so on. Next, imagine those dominos to be our hearts, our emotions. When we feel or experience even the slightest touch or kindness in our heart, it gives us a warm feeling inside. And that warmth ignites our heart to want to touch the hearts of others too, to show kindness to them after experiencing kindness ourselves. And that person we show kindness to also experiences the warmth in their hearts and the want to share the warmth to others as well, thus showing kindness to the people around them. And that is how the video explained how kindness works, through a domino effect but in a much more complex reality.        
          
          The way the video conveyed the value of kindness, in my opinion is really effective. It showed kindness, not through just one simple act, but in a chain or a cycle: Where one person’s kindness affects another person’s life to show kindness themselves, regardless of whether those people know each other or not. Together with that, without even knowing it, whenever we do a good deed towards someone, other people are actually watching us. That is why it is important to always be kind to others, because we never really know who is watching us - we might even change the life of that person by inspiring him to become a better man. It also shows that there is still faith for the humanity. There are still people out there who choose to touch the lives of others through simple deeds in order to make the world a better place. If only each and every one of us do a little deed to the people around us, I believe that our world will truly be a better place.           

          As I wrote in my title "If you give a little love, you can get a little love of your own." - If you want to see a change in this world, be the change. And who knows, in the long run, maybe the change you show to others will be the change you will see in the world. 

          Be kind to others. Be the change you want to see. After all, there is nothing to lose from it, there is only much more to gain.
